Vanessa builds excellent rapport with clients quickly, through careful listening and precise questioning to find out their unique needs and situation. As part of coaching, she uses her varied toolkit flexibly depending on the goals and style of the client, always working with the practical, rather than theoretical models. She will ask her clients to try out an agreed approach between meetings and recommend reading and online resources to support their learning. Her facilitation style is energetic and engaging. She makes good connections with all group members, enables a focus on the real issues and a binding together towards shared goals. Vanessa holds a BSc Hons in Psychology from Bristol University, an in depth Coaching certification and invests in continuous professional development. Her facilitation skills were developed through the work of John Heron at Surrey University. Vanessa is a Myers Briggs Step II Practitioner, a qualified DISC user and an NLP Business Practitioner and Coach. She is licensed in MSCEIT (the only EQ ability measure). As an executive coach, she is a member of the EMCC and abides by their coaching standards, ethics and supervision requirements.
