Ben Mallaby is a multi award winning, BAFTA nominated short Film Director.
He has created documentaries, short films and corporate videos that have played both nationally and internationally, at festivals, events, for the BBC and Channel 4, on websites and in digital marketing campaigns. He works with artgym capturing the energy and content that is generated at workshops and editing films together which record the outcomes of the day.
Amongst his many recent accomplishments is having over a million unique youtube hits and his short film work financed by Film London and premiered at the prestigious BFI London Film Festival. In 2014 Ben was nominated for a BAFTA for my short film called Island Queen which was produced by Eugene Hughes. He has strong links to the international film festival network and is a Senior Lecturer in Short Films at both Ravensbourne and the University of Gloucestershire.
In 2013 Ben directed a documentary promoting filmmaking in poor communities. As an academic he has taught documentary modules for the last six years and has seen his coached students play at the Edinburgh festival and receive nationwide press coverage and film release.
